IRS Tax Debt Resolution

Puzzle Pieces Glow

Behind on taxes? Facing an audit? Owe more than you can pay? You have options—and you don't have to face the IRS alone.

I get it. The IRS is scary.

Maybe you've got years of unfiled tax returns and you don't even know where to start. Maybe you went through an audit and now you're staring at a balance that feels impossible. Maybe the IRS notices keep coming and you've been too overwhelmed to open them.

Here's what I see all the time: people are so scared of the IRS that they either freeze up completely or they start talking. And when you're scared, you tend to say too much—which just gives the auditor more to work with.

The IRS knows how to use fear. But here's the thing: you have rights, you have options, and you can fight back. You just need someone in your corner who knows how.

No judgment. Seriously.

I've seen it all. Years of unfiled returns. Six-figure tax debts. People who ignored the problem until the IRS started garnishing wages or levying bank accounts. Life happens. Things spiral. I'm not here to lecture you about what you should have done.

I'm here to figure out where you are now and help you find a way forward. Everything we discuss is confidential, and my only goal is to get you to the best possible outcome.

IRS Tax Problems I Help Resolve

01

Unfiled Tax Returns

If you haven't filed in a while, the IRS will eventually come knocking—and they'll file for you, which almost never works in your favor. I help you get caught up on back taxes, often with a much better outcome than you'd expect.

03

IRS Payment Plans (Installment Agreements)

Can't pay your balance in full? The IRS offers installment agreements, but the terms vary a lot depending on how they're set up. I help you negotiate a payment plan you can actually live with.

05

Currently Not Collectible Status

If you genuinely can't pay right now due to financial hardship, you may qualify for Currently Not Collectible (CNC) status, which pauses IRS collection efforts. It's not a permanent solution, but it can give you breathing room while you get back on your feet.

07

Innocent Spouse Relief

If you're on the hook for a tax debt because of something your spouse (or ex-spouse) did, you may be able to get innocent spouse relief. I help you understand your options and navigate the process.

02

IRS Audit Representation

Getting audited is stressful, but you don't have to go in alone. As an Enrolled Agent, I can represent you directly before the IRS. I handle the communication, gather the documentation, and make sure you don't accidentally say something that makes things worse.

04

Offer in Compromise

In some cases, the IRS will settle your tax debt for less than you owe. It's not easy to qualify, and the process is complicated, but when it works, it can be life-changing. I help you figure out if an offer in compromise is realistic for your situation and handle the application if it is.

06

Penalty Abatement

A big chunk of what you owe might be penalties and interest. In some situations, the IRS will reduce or remove penalties—especially if you have a reasonable cause or a clean compliance history. I help you make the case for penalty relief.

08

Tax Liens, Bank Levies & Wage Garnishment

If the IRS has already filed a tax lien, levied your bank account, or started garnishing your wages, we need to act fast. I can help you respond, negotiate, and work toward getting the pressure off.

What happens if I don't file my tax returns?

If you don't file, the IRS can file a Substitute for Return (SFR) on your behalf—and they won't give you any deductions or credits you're entitled to. You'll also face failure-to-file penalties, which add up fast. The longer you wait, the worse it gets.

Can an Enrolled Agent represent me before the IRS?

Yes. Enrolled Agents are federally licensed to represent taxpayers before the IRS in audits, collections, and appeals. Unlike CPAs or attorneys who may dabble in tax, EAs specialize exclusively in taxation and IRS representation.

What is penalty abatement?

Penalty abatement is when the IRS reduces or removes penalties from your tax debt. You may qualify if you had reasonable cause (like serious illness or natural disaster) or if you have a clean compliance history (First Time Penalty Abatement). Penalties can be a significant portion of what you owe, so this is always worth exploring.

What is an offer in compromise?

An offer in compromise (OIC) is an agreement with the IRS to settle your tax debt for less than what you owe. The IRS considers your income, expenses, assets, and ability to pay. Not everyone qualifies—acceptance rates are around 30-40%—but it's worth exploring if you truly can't pay.

How do I stop IRS wage garnishment?

To stop or reduce wage garnishment, you typically need to set up a payment plan, qualify for Currently Not Collectible status, or submit an offer in compromise. The key is responding quickly and communicating with the IRS through proper channels—ideally with representation.

Let me do the talking

One of the best things you can do when dealing with the IRS is stop talking to them yourself. I'm authorized to communicate with the IRS on your behalf, which means you don't have to take their calls, respond to their letters, or sit across the table from an auditor.

I know what to say, what not to say, and how to protect your interests. That's what I'm here for.
